I’ve had a bit of free time between my projects, and I thought I finish up my templating here. Using Movable Type feels so constrictive, after having built my own content management and template systems. However, for the most part, the pages built by Movable Type are fairly static (with the few exceptions I made while customizing the templates), and hence probably do very well in keeping server overhead low.
In any case, I’m trying to keep to that ideal while designing this blog. Not that I’m expecting to be slashdotted (or dugg, as the kids these days are wont to do), but it is good practice.
