yup. i’m working at a photo and digital place downtown.

so far, it’s been pretty cool. i’ve been hired for the digital aspect of the business (designs, photo retouching, whatnot) but the place is small enough that the employees need to be very flexible. lots of cross training.

my second day there, i basically handled the photo processing machines. it was like… have you ever seen one hour photo? the movie kept running through my head.

i know this is probably boring to you, but i also actually worked the register (credit card processing even!), helped customers, had pizza… the whole day on my feet. the whole day NOT staring at a computer screen.

in fact, this is the second day in my professional career that i didn’t touch a computer. the first day being yesterday, my first day at my new job. it’s kinda.. disorienting. but i can get used to it. of course, i will be doing more digital work, and that inherently means more me/computer interaction on the job.

anyway. back to … whatever you were doing.
