i don’t understand why people say the aol cd’s make good coasters.
they suck as coasters. the whole point of a coaster is to protect whatever surface it’s on from any moisture from the cup or whatever that’s on it. so… a flat plastic disc with a whole in the center does the job well? i don’t think so. moisture will spread from the bottom of the cup to the outside or center of the disc, and possible collect beneath the disc, preventing any possibility of it ever drying up before damaging the surface.
sure. basically anyone that says “they make good coasters” is apparently just repeating what someone else has said without thought. pretty lame. maybe whoever came up with it, meant relative to their service as an ISP, their service as a manufacturer of coasters is good. sarcasm. yay. but did they realize how crappy the cd’s are as coasters? probably not. losers.
